Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer whose primary responsibility will be
to create the electronics hardware for the IoT Devices. You will focus on electronic
hardware design from conception to production. You will be working closely with other teams
such as mechanical design, firmware development, QA, and manufacturing & production, to
create cost effective, reliable and scalable IoT devices. Ideal candidates will have excellent skills
in collaborative problem solving, the willingness to overcome hardware constraints, and the
internal drive to create quality products.
Roles & Responsibilities :
● Your work will include Electronic product development, component selection, schematic
design, multi layer PCB design/layout, circuit simulation, BOM preparation, BOM cost
analysis, Board bring-up, compliance testing (EMI/EMC/CE/FCC), perform functional
testing, and maintaining hardware through the product cycle.
● Guide test engineers for test plan preparation.
● Extensive documentation of the design specifications and implementation details.
● Participate in peer design and design reviews, Training and mentoring junior team
members.
● Maintaining existing products, Providing post production support and design upgrades.
● Take ownership of tasks assigned and drive innovation in hardware development.
Key Skills :
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, or relevant field with 4 to 6
years experience in embedded hardware design.
● The candidate is expected to have in depth knowledge in electronics design and sensors.
The candidate needs to have proven record of design delivery in a NPI team for at least 3
years. Experience with hardware development for low-power battery-powered,
microcontroller-based IoT devices is a plus.
● Experience in power supply design, DC-DC converters, Li-ion battery charger designs is
required.
● Proven track record in the design of Analog/Digital circuit design, mixed-signal circuit
design, High-speed circuit design.
● Experience in Sensor, transducers, motors, Relays, and their interfaces with
microcontroller.
● Experience using Schematic and PCB Layout tools like Autodesk Eagle, Fusion 360, KiCad,
or Altium Designer.
● Must be able to design multi layer PCB’s while adhering to EMI/EMC and SI/PI standards,
with Strong experience with mixed signal & High-Speed designs layout considerations &
techniques.
● Technical knowledge of bus standards such as I2C, SPI, UART and USB is required.
● Knowledge of Wireless technologies like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa, and Cellular.
● Experience in preparing verification & validation plans, prototyping, functional tests,
Board bring up, RCA.
● Hands-on experience with test & measurement equipment like oscilloscopes,
multi-meters, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers etc.
● Good experience in board level testing, troubleshooting and debugging issues in
hardware design. Strong knowledge and hands on exp. on design considerations
required to comply to EMI / EMC certification and environmental compliances – UL /IEC
/ RoHS / REACH etc.
● Nice to have:
○ EMI/EMC, CE/FCC, compliance testing experience is an added advantage
○ Basic software programming knowledge in C/C++
○ Should be able to perform hardware simulations and modeling in pSpice or
LTspice
