JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Schematic entry and PCB layout design for electronic products from Industrial and automotive Segments.
Responsible for PCB layout design Accuracy, design Time, Quality Assurance, Design Revisions, Design
Efficiency and Design Innovation. Will be reporting to the Lead Hardware design engineer of application
engineering team.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, LANGUAGE AND SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS:
Education and work experience:
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electronics &
Communication Engineering
Work experience : 5 to 10 Years for Senior role [At least > 3 years in product design of Industrial /
Automotive end applications]
Language requirements:
Fluency in written and spoken English communication. Spoken Hindi is an advantage.
Skillset Requirements:
A strong understanding of electrical and electronics engineering principles is crucial, including
knowledge of power electronics, analog and digital circuit design, control systems, electromagnetic
theory, High speed design and RF.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations IPC-2221B, IPC-2222A and UL 94 is must.
Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes is important, including knowledge of
design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles and design for
Excellence (DFx).
Familiarity with thermal management techniques such as thermal via placement and copper pours is
important.
Expertise in PCB layout design software such as Altium, Cadence, Allegro or KiCAD is essential
meeting the electrical and mechanical requirements of the application. Familiarity with high-speed
design techniques is also important for ensuring signal integrity.
Expertise in signal integrity analysis tools such as HyperLynx or Signal Integrity Studio is an added
advantage.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously,
working closely with cross-functional teams, and prioritizing and managing time efficiently.
Effective communication skills to present ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, to
understand requirements from stakeholders and to articulate the design decisions.
